Elevation Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturer of Food processing machinery to recruit a Sales Manager.

Responsible for existing account and partner development, and the acquisition of new customers across the UK and International markets, this is a key role within the business.

Sales Manager Role and Responsibilities:

*Follow-up sales leads and enquiries in a timely manner, engaging other departmental resource as and when required
*Obtain enquiries and generate professional quotations to meet with customer requirements and win orders
*Develop and maintain a sales pipeline sufficiently large to achieve the Sales objectives. Work with Managers and colleagues to anticipate and predict future trends and structure new initiatives accordingly
*Negotiate commercial terms, scope of supply and guarantees
*Establish and manage links with agents, partners and relevant commercial bodies
*Manage and direct all commercial activities within the business and assist colleagues where necessary
*Develop, manage and support export Agents where appointed

Sales Manager Skills and Experience:

*Strong understanding and knowledge of one or more of the Food/Packaging/Processing Industries and their customers' operating and purchasing processes and likely plans and prospects
*Core Food or packaging industry knowledge on similar Product, Applications, Competitor Knowledge and USP's / Value
*Experience of operating successfully in a technical and commercial environment, is also desirable
*Able to interpret drawings, schemes and other project related documents
*Knowledge and experience of consultative sales techniques in a high value capital goods business
*Ability to speak a second language is desirable (Particularly French, Polish, German, Spanish or Italian)
