We are recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join the team. We are looking for someone who is experienced within a Sales environment and Administrative role. The ideal candidate will be accustomed to providing first class customer service within previous roles. Don't worry you don't need to be a professional golfer! The role will work closely with the General Manager to ensure golf/event services are up to date, relevant, and are in line with American Golf’s policies, procedures, and business growth strategies. What you will be doing as our Sales Manager: • In conjunction with the General Manager, lead on driving sales for all elements of the Club including golf, functions and events.• Strive to meet sales targets set through specific KPI’s and report on these figures when required to the General Manager.• To be part of the team to develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key demographics.• To keep updated with local competitors and report updates in their business to the General Manager as necessary, which may impact sales at the club.• Implement and maintain office systems for the preparation and management of correspondence, reports and associated documents.• Provide an administration service to the General Manager as necessary.• To oversee and manage the main reception.• Manage and maintain the effective operation of the BRS/V1 software systems by liaison with the relevant committee, members, visitors, General Manager and system support contractors.• Maintain and administer the members subscription renewals, including the Direct Debit scheme and keep up to date records as necessary.• Process all enquiries and ensure thorough liaison with the General Manager and Bar & Events Manager that all relevant requirements are provided.• Record entries and reconcile fees paid as necessary for each booking.• Liaise with the General Manager on a regular basis and ensure they are fully briefed on matters that may require their respective attention.• Line Manager for 1st tee Starter(s) when required.• To work closely with American Golf’s Marketing department to enhance the facility, drive sales and service levels.• To be aware and up to date with matters relating to Health, Safety and Risk Assessments in line with company policies and attend meeting when necessary.• In conjunction with the Bar & Events Manager, lead regular golf/events coordination meetings to ensure communication of all booking/events etc are communicated to the relevant team members and actions completed.• To ensure every customer to the site receive a first-class experience.• Assume as necessary the responsibilities of the General Manager during periods of leave in close liaison with the Regional Manager for Leisure Sites.• Maintain the events diary in liaison with the Bar & Events Manager ensuring all areas/bookings are up to date.• Maintain the club’s social media accounts at the site level in line with American Golf’s marketing strategies. About our Sales Manager: The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years experience in an administration role, experience with sales negotiation and upselling, flexible (due to working hours including evenings and weekends) and be a driven individual.
