We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to sell classified advertising for sector-leading digital publication, FE Week, and our jobs board, Education Week Jobs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven salesperson to take responsibility of an area of sales in a growing and exciting company. Reporting into the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for filling the recruitment pages within the digital newspaper on a weekly basis, selling online advertising on the jobs board and ensuring that you are hitting and exceeding your monthly sales targets. The Company Established in 2010, Lsect Ltd. is an education events and publishing company operating within the Schools and Further Education sectors. Our brands include leading digital publications FE Week and Schools Week, recruitment platform Education Week Jobs and high-profile events such as the Annual Apprenticeship Conference and the Festival of Education. We are a small, friendly, and energetic team, with 20 full-time staff alongside freelancers. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, our brands and audiences have grown considerably over the last 18 months. After a record-breaking start to 2021 both for traffic on our editorial websites and advertising sales, we are excited to expand our Sales Team. The Role: • Responsibility for recruitment advertising sales with FE Week • Managing a portfolio of accounts • Managing own sales pipeline • Generating new business • Filling recruitment pages within the FE Week digital newspaper on a weekly basis • Representing the organisation at exhibitions and events • Meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets • Other duties as required by senior managers Person Specification: • B2B sales experience (ideal minimum of 12 months) • Media sales experience desirable, but not essential • Ability to provide exceptional customer service • Effective communicator – face to face, written and verbal • Comfortable with cold calling • Positive personality • Outgoing and confident • A team player, willing to work ‘all hands on deck’ • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to tight deadlines Benefits • Uncapped commission • Flexible working – splitting time between the Liverpool Street office and working from home (post-pandemic, two days per week in the office minimum will be required) • 20 days annual leave + bank holidays + Christmas office closure • Pension: NEST pension scheme, on 3 months successful employment – Lsect will match contributions up to 5% on a monthly basis. • Work Laptop + Mobile Phone • Perkbox benefits • Mindspace Member benefits • Cycle to Work Scheme • Christmas and Summer Parties Application Process Please send your CV and cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role to Bridget Stockdale, Sales Manager.
