Sales Development Representative

Ultimate Languages is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Development Representative who wants to pursue and advance in a sales career working directly with the Managing Director.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of outbound prospecting, generating and qualifying leads using social selling as the primary tool.
This position offers excellent career progression as the right candidate will have the opportunity to expand his/her role not only into a full 360 position but also beyond that. Training, coaching and support will be provided with a view to see them progress to a Sales Manager role.
You will primarily be using tool like LinkedIn and social selling campaigns and following up via phone and video calls. There may occasionally be a need to cold call as well.
The position will be remote initially but the ideal candidate should be able to travel to our Wetherby office 1-2 times per week post covid.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Work with the Managing Director to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed quarterly revenue goals
Identify strong potential prospects using initiative and creativity, to generate new opportunities
Conduct initial calls to qualified leads generated by the marketing effort and social selling campaigns
Create and maintain a database of prospects that includes contacts and key decision makers, by using lists from industry associations, events and tradeshows
Use LinkedIn and other social media platforms to connect with potential clients and promote Ultimate Languages’ services
Effectively communicate Ultimate Languages’ value proposition, culture and the benefits
- Use listening and probing skills to understand a prospective customer’s challenges and key drivers
Qualify prospects with the objective of setting up meetings with the Managing Director, Head of Digital and Customer Success Manager
Keep the CRM up to date with all sales/prospecting activities
- Keep up to date with services and industry knowledge
Work closely with the MD and Head of Digital on outreach and planning for exhibitions.
Attend some international tradeshows with the Managing Director, Head of Digital and Customer Success Manager
Knowledge, skills and experience
- A minimum of 1-2 year experience in a similar role
University degree in Business, Marketing or Financial studies is desirable
A good understanding of lead generation and sales processes
- Problem-solving skills and high-level of IT literacy including Microsoft packages
Proficient at using LinkedIn for business development and sales and other social media platforms
Excellent telephone manners, communication, writing and presentation skills
- Adaptable, self-motivated, high energy and results oriented
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable with dealing with rejections
- An outgoing personality with a natural flair to build relationships
A background in a B2B / B2C / Customer Service focused environment
and client facing experience is desirable
Great skills at reaching out and making contact via phone, email and social media.
