About us As Genus Care is owned by the people who run the company on the inside, we make ‘child focused, person centred’ decisions- not financial or political ones.We aim to positively change the lives of all children living with us, to realise their full and often undiscovered potential whilst at the same time keeping them safe, educating them and sticking by them.

You can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.

We will go the extra yard (or mile) to achieve success.

Whilst offering 1:1 staffing ratios, full-time registered education, individualised therapeutic programmes (‘It’s My Life’), community inclusion and, above all, the opportunity for all young people to truly ‘grow with us’, we have a simple philosophy which is based entirely on the needs and best interests of the child: Once they come to live with us we will not fail them by ending their placement either unnecessarily or before the conclusion of their care and support plan.

This philosophy comes from a determination to put an end to the merry-go-round of placement after placement that many looked after children get stuck on.

To grow one must first have roots and nobody puts down roots if they routinely move.
