Recruitment Team Manager
Job role: The Recruitment Team Manager will organise, coach, and motivate the team to achieve the teams required deployment targets. The post holder will be responsible for supporting recruiting officers to provide advice on candidate and Trust queries, ensuring target hire numbers are delivered. They will provide a professional and proactive recruitment service, taking a lead role in the maintenance and improvement of the international recruitment process. Working hand in hand with the Head of Recruitment, International Operations Manager and Business Managers, the Recruitment Team Manager is a fundamental role that ensures the recruitment service delivers across a number of metrics, such as starters, campaigns, candidate experience and the overall delivery of our contracts. As a Team Manager you will also assist and support the International recruitment campaigns through advertising on social media and other platforms. Overseas travel may be required to support recruitment events. Key Roles and Responsibilities • The Team Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the International Recruitment function, including the co-ordination of work flows within the team, in order to meet contractual numbers and deadlines. • Responsible for the day to day management of our International Recruitment Officers, providing support and advice on resolving client/candidate queries. This will include weekly 1-1’s to review Officers activity/KPI’s, yearly appraisals, KPI setting and the professional development and performance management of the team. • Deliver relevant training and development to the current team, collaborate with the Operations Manager to produce training programmes for new staff to ensure they are fully equipped and developed in the Recruitment Officer role. • To provide a collaborative, professional and proactive recruitment service to Trusts and candidates, providing expert advice on recruitment issues to both Managers and the Trusts. • To build and maintain effective relationships with Trusts and candidates, actively seeking and where appropriate responding to feedback regarding the recruitment service. • To ensure that NHS employers guidelines on international pre-employment checks are adhered. • Liaising with Trusts to ensure the on-boarding process is effective, candidate friendly and problem free. • To continue to develop and maintain robust processes for the efficient management and administration of international recruitment, ensuring that recruitment records and databases are accurately maintained. • To be responsible for keeping up to date with employment legislation, NHS initiatives/guidelines and changes to UK Visa information. Keep abreast of in-country changes to deployment processes for International candidates and cascade this to the wider team. • To work in partnership with the International Recruitment Operations Managers on various project work. • To own a recruitment case load deploying overseas candidates to Trusts. This includes sending offers, overseas and UK pre-employment checks, CoS and Visa processing, travel arrangements and pastoral support for candidates.
