Rail Services Engineer Wednesbury, West Midlands £35,000 Our client is the region’s popular and growing tram network Their mission is to deliver a safe and secure, reliable, and sustainable tram service. Do you want to be part of that mission? Can you help us look after their existing track and overhead line assets, while bringing into operation new equipment that will come with a system that’s nearly doubling in size over the next three years? As their system grows and develops, you’ll be reviewing designs, working alongside the contractors who will be delivering the new equipment and you’ll be our central point of contact for testing and commissioning. For our existing assets, making sure that they are reliable, they are maintained to the right standards and their maintenance procedures and documentation are up to date is part of the role. Having worked in light rail or the wider rail industry in a maintenance role, you will have a good working knowledge of rail infrastructure having specialised in permanent way or overhead line. You’ll be able to demonstrate technical leadership, managing internal and external stakeholders including contractors. Paying attention to detail and keeping accurate records are part of how you work.
