Radar Software Supplier Management EngineerWould you like to work with BAE Systems partners across Europe to ensure compliance for our Radar Software Products? We currently have a vacancy for a Radar Software Supplier Management Engineer at our site in Warton.As a Radar Software Supplier Management Engineer, you will be working with the E-Scan Radar Equipment Design Responsibility (EDR) team on Eurofighter Typhoon in support of the software development effort on the E-Scan Radar programme. You will be based at Warton working closely with the Radar Equipment Supplier (EuroRadar, Leonardo-UK, Hensoldt, Leonardo-IT and Indra), Eurofighter GmbH and other System Design Responsibility (SDR) engineering disciplines in delivering the various E-Scan Radar software development programmes to time, cost and without compromise to safety or quality.You will work as part of a small team managing all software activities. This exciting role requires a wide range of engineering skills, teamwork and product focus to ensure a varied and complex set of requirements are delivered.This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to work with the latest version of the radar software and hardware on the well-established Typhoon platform. This role will also play a key role in allowing customers to enable their capability and success in this role could lead to further opportunities within the Team or wider BAE Systems Business. UK and European Travel to supplier sites will also be part of this role when current restrictions allow. Your main responsibilities as a Radar Software Supplier Management Engineer will involve:Approve Supplier Software Development Plans (SDP) and Software Validation & Verification Plans (SV&VP). Assess Radar software product and process compliance against same,Assess supplier deviations to Eurofighter System & Software Development Standards.Support the supplier in establishing an AGILE software development process and ensure the outturn products of this process feed or are supported by an equivalent Avionics Software product. (e.g. Alignment of respective AGILE processes).Review supplier Data Requirement Lists (DRLs), supporting Flight Development and Customer flight clearances.Attend Supplier Software Lifecycle Reviews on behalf of the Purchaser.Perform software audits at supplier premises, in the UK and Europe.There will also be an opportunity to influence the certification approach of novel aspects of current and future Radar software products. Your skills and qualifications:Essential:A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience – preferably Software or Systems Engineering focusAn excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Desirable:Experience in a software assurance or audit background Experience having fulfilled a Supplier Management role or responsibilities Experience of developing software for deployment on Multi-core Processors What we're looking for in you:You will have good team working and effective communication skills to work with a range of stakeholders across the BAE Air Business and partner organisations.
