Raising attainment with vulnerable students, creating a pathway for them to leave school with a well-rounded set of skills that can enable them to assimilate into the work place and their community, finding their purpose.
This support worker role is aimed at a graduate with empathy and who will want to initiate restorative practices, this school has not had a permanent exclusion for over 12 months.
It is based within a specialist Alternative Provision within a Complex Social Needs environment.
Many of the students will have been through severe traumas and there will be a mix of good and non-existent relationships with their parents.
Restorative Practice, pragmatism and positive reinforcement will be key skills in this support role in Maidenhead.
The role specialises in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns.
The students you are raising attainment with are between the ages of 9-16, all have EHCPs and will need to continue their education once they leave the school.
This role will give you experience in safeguarding and assessment of what rehabilitation students require to be empowered back into mainstream education.

Working with Students with SEMH, EBD, Autism and Learning Difficulties, classes of 6-8.
1:1 and small group focus, eclectic range of classes.
Students suffering with existing and new traumas, education in a covid19 context, holistic approach.
£75 per day PAYE (No umbrella agencies), 08.15 to 16.15, term time only.
Duration of role until July 19th 2021.
Ideal SEH experience before deciding upon MSc and Research projects.
