Making a positive impact on the lives of others is an important team core value. The role The Project manager will play a major part in the development of our expanding company. Running multiple residential extension projects as well as new build and development projects across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. This is a new and exciting opportunity for a pro-active and highly organised individual who has the desire to use their unique skills to bring productivity and coordination to the team. The Project Manager will be responsible for projects from inception to completion, ensuring processes are streamlined in order to help deliver projects on time and to the highest standard. Engaging with clients and construction professionals building valuable relationships is key, therefore, we’re looking for a team player with excellent communication and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities • Working with the client from the start of each project to ensure an understanding of the project scope and vision • Oversee the beginning of each turn-key project, including details such as planning permissions, designs and building control requirements. • Organise and submit project estimates to clients • Work closely with the Managing Director and Construction team to ensure efficient project delivery. • Coordinate and run the project schedule and scope of works for each project • Manage subcontractors • Always anticipate the next steps, answering questions before the client inquires, using skills to keep all team members updated. • Lead and motivate the construction team during all aspects of the build • Quality and budget control • Process change orders • Conduct meetings on site with clients, the construction team and subcontractors • Purchasing and negotiation with vendors,suppliers and subcontractors • Manage Health and Safety requirements • Acting as a contact point for escalations and issues, through to resolution About you • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail. • Solid leadership skills • Experience in a project management role in the UK • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment • Previous experience working with suppliers & subcontractors. • Capable of thinking on your feet and solving issues that arise in a timely manner • Competent in reading structural drawings and plan sets • Able to build a rapport with clients to ensure long-term working relationships. • Full understanding of CDM regulations • Involvement in administering contracts • Advantageous: RICS accredited degree or similar • Advantageous: Knowledge of project management tool Buildertrend Other Details • Working hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm • You will be spending part of your time at job sites usually based around Milton Keynes and the other part at our office, currently based in Buckingham. Although we are flexible, you are able to work from home at times when the need arises • A full UK driving licence is essential • Access to your own reliable transport is required and you need to be willing to travel within a 40 mile radius of Milton Keynes • Use of a mobile phone is necessary.
