Project Manager – Kitchen Installation – Bespoke design

Berry Recruitment are working with a family-run business, with design centres in London, Oxford, and Cheshire, showcasing the best available Kitchen products for clients' home and garden.

They are a design-led company and our focus is always to add value to our clients' lifestyle and home creating living spaces that will be as stunning in ten years time as they are today.

As part of the expansion we are looking for a full time site surveyor/PM in Oxford. This postion plays a crucial role in creating the very best experience for clients. There will be training on the job and in the factory in Germany to support your development.

You will be responsible for managing sites primarily local to your design centre but the company has installed throughout Europe and travel is a large part of the role.

The PM/Surveyor will take the agreed design and manage the project through to completion, highlighting time and QA an QC issues, ideally heading these off prior to install. The plan is to make the installation as simple as possible for the site team.

The emphasis on long term relationships with customer and repeat work.

They are family owned, and carry positive cash reserves to cover stock and deposits. Office/showrooms in Manchester, London and Oxford. They are looking to expand to North London.

You will receive full support and training on product knowledge – supplier trips, and be mentored by an senior colleague.

The ideal person will have trade or PM experience. You should be comfortable presenting to Contractors, trades and clients and be able to set clear objectives and manage time lines to deliver on time.

What you need to succeed

You will need experience in project planning in construction or allied trades, ideally for a recognised sub-contractor or interiors specialist. If you have transferable skills from production or or the Forces we will be happy to consider you. You should have good organisational skill, and be able to work well with colleagues at all levels to deliver exceptional results.

As a key member reporting directly to the Operations Director you will:

Survey and appropriately monitor sites then feedback written information promptly to designers.
Communicate confidently and clearly with architects, interior designers, trades and clients to ensure that sites are ready for installation.
Co-ordinate and book installs and remedial work into the company fitting diary ensuring the most effective use of resources and prioritising tasks.
Prepare job sheets for required installation and remedial work, ensure they are returned to design managers and that all points are actioned.
Arrange the purchase and delivery of materials to site.
Prepare orders for remedial items.
Communicate directly with factories/suppliers to arrange prompt resolution of remedial items.
Provide technical knowledge of construction across a variety of trades, but especially joinery, to other staff members.For more information apply online or call the Oxford office.
