Job title – Project Information Manager
Location: Hybrid working 2 days pw in Manchester, 3 days initially
Contract length: 6 months + extensions (the project will go on for years)
Hours: 40 hours per week. Flexible working hours (early finish on Fridays)
Rate: £26ph Paye – Inside IR35
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Project Information Manager to work for a leading brand name business that specialises in Engineering, Energy, Rail and Healthcare. This role is to work in the Energy sector of the business.
To ensure all project information (documentation and data) is planned, delivered and accepted by the Customer, for handover and completion.
Making sure the requirements, processes, procedures and tools are in place, to effectively manage information on projects.
To ensure effective processes and tools are in place to deliver the following:
Project Reports and general correspondence
Design information such as ‘Drawings, Documents, 3D Models and software native files’
Installation, Operational and Maintenance Manuals
Quality Plans, Records, Certificates, Method Statements, Site Management Manuals
Technical Queries and Site Snags
The project information requirements for delivery of information are agreed with the customer, fully understood and communicated to the project team.
All required project information attributes are established, including meta-data and numbering convention.
The process for document routing, document review and commenting are established and agreed with all parties.
The mechanism for managing project information at our construction site is established and agreed with the site team
Working with the project delivery team to ensure all Contract Deliverables are identified, planned, and expedited in accordance with the programme.
Supporting the Mechanical Completions Manager in collating the commissioning records required for completion and handover
Liaise with the Quality Manager to ensure all ITP’s, O&Ms and Quality Records are generated in the correct format
Progress measurement reporting is in place for monitoring delivery of documentation and information
Prioritise the day to day activities of the Project Document Controllers
To escalate any project information issues to the Senior Project Manager, Project Director and / or Operations Manager, to ensure timely delivery of project information.
Key Skills and experience required:
Experienced Document / Information Manager and / or Senior Document Controller
A good understanding of 3rd party Document Management Tools (eg Aconex, Sharepoint, Documentum)
Has experience of delivering training on EDM systems
Have a good understanding of Excel, including vlookups, amalgamating data
Confident in your own abilities and driven to get responses required
Able to deal with different countries, different cultures
Unflappable under pressure
5 yrs + experience of Project Engineering / Document Management in the construction industry
Quality Management including an understanding of the ISO processes
Team lead experience
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
A Level or equivalent qualification
Experience in both Project Management and Document Control roles
APM Project Management (Introduction)
Spoken German (desirable only)
