Purpose of the role To support the Planning Supervisor in developing the optimum production plan to satisfy customer demand, optimise machine utilisation, optimise production efficiency. To work with Customer Service representatives to provide commit dates for order confirmations, then monitor and provide updates as needed. To assist the supply chain team in reviewing raw material requirements and inventory replenishment decisions. To assist in planning and communicating the daily shipment schedule to the logistics team. Key Responsibilities • Release production orders to shop floor. • Provide Customer Service Representatives with planned ship dates for release of order confirmations to customer. • Track production orders to fulfilment, updating status in S&OP system and production plan as required. • Review production plan regularly to monitor ability to meet on time delivery and ensure timely updates to the customer • Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure material availability to satisfy schedule, including communication of raw-material demand and agree the purchasing plan for replenishment. • Assist Planning Supervisor in development of integrated S&OP and MES systems • Work with logistics team to satisfy shipment plan and maximise on-time-delivery to all customers. • Update discrete customer planning sheets for management of SMI • Cross-train in sales order processing activities (sales order entry, order confirmation, order book management) Qualifications / Essential Skills • Previous experience in a production planning role • Experience of S&OP processes and software, ideally gained in a manufacturing environment • Understand material logistics operations • Attention to details • Good interpersonal communication • IT – Highly literate (excel advanced) Benefits • Discretionary Bonus scheme • LTIP’s (subject to qualifying period) • Westfield Health • Employee Assistant Program (EAP) – variety of discounts and deals. • Company pension – option to pay up to 5% matched by IQE up to 10% • 23 days annual leave plus UK Bank Holidays
