Product Manager – Analytical instruments

Isotope ratio mass spectrometry is used for the precise measurement of the relative abundance of stable isotopes in a given sample. It is used across a wide range of industries from forensics, environmental, medical research, to food and antidoping testing.

Our client manufactures a wide range of analytical instruments, including IRMS & they are seeking a Product Manager to manage the product life cycle of all their isotope ratio analysis products.

Working with the teams in both Germany and the UK, you will be based at the factory in South Manchester reporting to the Strategic Marketing Manager & Head of Product Development.

You will drive strategies, developments and potential changes in technologies and continuously collate information on competitors, customers and patents. You will manage and support development projects for production and market release, prepare essential documents and participate at conferences and workshops.

To be considered for this role, you will need a PhD in a related discipline or have suitable industry experience with a technical focus. A range of backgrounds will be considered, but theoretical and practical knowledge of isotope ratio analysis is essential. Due to the commercial aspect of the role, you will need to be customer-centric and business focused, with excellent organisation and communication skills. Knowledge of the product development life cycle would be highly advantageous.
