Portfolio Monitoring Manager, Impact Investment Management

Marks Sattin are representing a specialist impact investment manager who are looking to hire an experienced finance professional. This is to join as a portfolio monitoring manager; part of finance & operations, reporting to the group CFO.

The role is outward facing and essential. You will be tasked with ensuring accurate management information is available to key decision makers at all times, directing assisting the decision making process. You will have substantial internal and external interaction, including group level stakeholders. It will suit a highly numerate and analytical individual.

Specifically your duties will range across; portfolio operations, transactions and other ad hoc projects. This includes, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Manage day to day relationship with all counterparties including approved providers and care providers developing a detailed understanding of current financial and operational performance
  • Liaise with all approved providers to obtain monthly compliance reports and financial statements
  • Monitoring occupation of new properties within the portfolios to ensure it progress to plan and in accordance with onboarding fees
  • Insightful analysis on all approved providers operational and financial reporting
  • Review financial data and update financial summary
  • Design, prepare and update KPI schedule regularly for executive management review
  • Working with fund administrators to enhance further the monitoring of rent collection, analysis, and reporting to the executive
  • Working closely with the asset management team to ensure that there is a co-ordinated approach to each of the firm’s key partners
  • Preparation of board reporting
  • Prepare care provider/approved provider summaries for Investment Committee/Board papers across all funds
  • Ad hoc modelling for new portfolios; working pro-actively with Investment Operations team to ensure counterparty exposure is effectively managed
  • Contributing to operational discussions with financing partners/banks

The company itself invests across social impact ventures; delivering positive outcomes for individuals and communities. They are looking to expand rapidly over the coming few years as new strategies are implemented and more funds are raised.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven experience with managing substantial data sets, synthesising them and utilising said data to deliver key insights and recommendations to senior management. Operational and financial experience, alongside the ability to analyse financial accounts and exceptional communication skills are all essential.
