Your New role Here at Highways England it is imperative we deliver in line with time, cost, quality and safety standards ensuring our customers are not adversely affected, as a PMO Analyst you will join a growing team responsible for maintaining a high volume of delivery plans for multiple engineering schemes changing the face of the country. Acting as a coordination point for internal and external stakeholders you will manage and maintain programme and project controls such as risks and issues registers, project schedules and budget trackers. The role will see you actively engaging with Project teams and business partners to gather data in order to maintain delivery plans and report against KPI’s to inform effective management decision making. What you’ll be leading on • Supporting the Programme Management Office activities with designated delivery teams (eg. Project Managers, Route Managers), ensuring programme and delivery plans are documented, maintained and updated in line with agreed governance and controls. • Ensuring that project documentation is administered effectively and in a timely manner. • Maintaining risks and issues logs for the region/programme/projects in scope as well as any critical interdependences, and work closely with delivery owners to track resolution activities. • Producing accurate and timely KPI reports for inclusion in higher level management reporting, to support effective management decision making. Collate, analyse and report on relevant information and data to support others in the delivery of their business objectives. • Collating and providing programme/project performance update reports, in line with agreed timescales and standards. Monitor progress against plan/targets and escalate concerns to the delivery lead or line manager. To be successful • Demonstrable experience of operating in a programme management office (or similar environment), including experience of updating and analysing project plans, budget forecasts, risk, issues and dependency logs (or similar data management experience) using Microsoft Excel”. • Experience of administering governance procedures • Experience in analysing performance data to report against delivery progress • Strong customer focus • Excellent organisation skills A bit about us Making sure our customers have safe and reliable journeys is at the heart of everything we do in Operations.
