On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a People Partner (HR Business Partner) for a 3-6 month contract based in Manchester / Liverpool / Newcastle / Working from Home Purpose of the People Partner (HR Business Partner) Role: Partnering senior leaders to maximise the performance of our business through the development and delivery of people solutions to meet the strategic challenges of tomorrow People Partner (HR Business Partner) Accountabilities: • Develop a new and fresh talent approach for Arup – working with the Head of Talent & People Partnering to develop a fresh approach which can be applied in preparation for a talent discussion at the Region Board meeting in September 2021 • Provide compelling rationale that creates dissatisfaction with the current approach and excites leaders about the possibilities of a new approach to talent management • Engage People Partners and People Operations Partners in sourcing the required information needed to test and validate any new approach to talent • Ensure any new approach to talent integrates with other work including Strategic Workforce Planning, Promotions and Performance Management • Review the end to end promotions process in Arup and optimise – proposing an alternative approach that delivers the business outcomes whilst maximising the experience of both colleagues being considered for promotion, and the senior leaders responsible • Partner leadership teams to develop and deliver a portfolio of people solutions that unlock the full potential of our business and our people • Collaborates to ensure the way we work is continually optimised; effective, efficient and focused on delivering a great, consistent colleague experience • Supports, coaches and challenges senior leaders to drive improved performance, including the development of their own leadership approach and that of their teams • Encourage leaders to reflect on and improve the climate and culture of their business areas to ensure this reflects the values of Arup • Challenges the status quo and brings a constructive people tension into the organisation so that solutions balance both business and people priorities • Uses insight from a variety of sources to identify opportunities to transform the way we work • Collaborates with the People Services team and centres of expertise so that service excellence is consistently delivered • Leads the strategic talent agenda for the aligned business area to ensure we have robust succession and recruitment plans in place to meet the demands of tomorrow Essential Skills and Qualifications: • Insights driven – uses a range of evidence from a variety of sources to diagnose problems and develop people insights.
