Multi- Skilled Maintenance Engineer

One of Europe’s leading food processing companies in Okehampton, Devon are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally. The job will require the candidate to support the efficient running of the factory through maintenance and reactive repair. This will include pro-active tasks to include projects, line improvements, off line repairs, planned maintenance and any other tasks deemed appropriate Role and Responsibilities • Carry out reactive maintenance to all plant, equipment, services and buildings as required, to include fault finding and repairs. • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and monitoring as per schedules • Assist with developing and implementing line improvements. • Record and communicate all findings. • Work with the management and supervisors to achieve the department daily targets. • Work with team leaders and the management team to ensure targets are met on safety, quality, output, efficiency, energy and waste. • Work to a clean as you go policy, ensure your work area is kept clean at all times. • Work in a face paced environment. • Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience • Experience Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with electrical and mechanical knowledge • Must have experience in Hydraulics Pneumatics • Experienced in engineering within a production or manufacturing environment • Experience working in FMCG is desirable • Suitable Engineering Qualifications • Experience of working at height (desired) • Scissor lift Licence ( training can be provided) • The ability to work closely with multiple teams is essential and willingness to continually improve our process is fundamental to this role. • A high level of organisation and the ability to multi task • Enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated. • Work on your own initiative Additional Information • Location: Okehampton, Devon • Hourly Rate: £16.50ph • Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours) • Shifts: 6:00- 15:00 • Immediate start • Free car parking • PPE (Personal protective equipment) provided • Opportunity to develop and increase the hourly rate • Will offer training and development throughout career
