MARKETING MANAGER | NEWS4MEDIA Food4Media.com | Homes4Media.com | Property4Media.com | TravMedia.com We are seeking to appoint a Marketing Manager in the UK to work across four sites – Food4Media, Homes4Media, Property4Media and TravMedia – each the leading B2B social network connecting their industry with the media. TravMedia is the world’s leading social network connecting the media with global travel and tourism brands. Over 25,000 journalists and PR professionals use the site worldwide. TravMedia is owned by TravMedia.com PTY and launched in the UK in 2003 through TravMedia (UK) Ltd, which then launched Food4Media.com in the UK two years later. Both TravMedia and Food4Media have become highly successful brands in the UK. News4Media, created in 2005, holds the rights to the TravMedia technology for industries outside travel and food. The company operates Property4Media, connecting the property sector with the media, and Homes4Media, uniting the homes, interiors and consumer goods market with journalists nationwide. We are seeking to appoint a Marketing Manager, reporting into our Group Marketing Director, who will help roll-out marketing campaigns for all four UK sites: Food4Media, Homes4Media, Property4Media and TravMedia. The person appointed will be an employee of News4Media Ltd and the majority of activity will be focused on Homes4Media, Property4Media and Food4Media (a brand of TravMedia UK Ltd). The role covers marketing for all four sites, focused on generating continued growth for our subscriptions business. The successful candidate will also have additional responsibilities for events marketing. The role will suit a driven individual who can demonstrate print and digital marketing skills as prerequisites. A key requirement of the role is to ensure each site’s brand values, messaging and positioning are always clearly and consistently communicated. The person appointed will implement online campaigns for the four sites and wider campaigns through channels including social media, websites, and industry events. The campaigns will stimulate everything from new business to maximising logins and the uptake of new functionality. Therefore, clear experience of data management/ segmentation, and the ability to develop strategies for growth through data manipulation are essential. The person will also be required to work on Property4Media’s high-profile Awards event the Property Press Awards. News4Media acquired these in 2016 and the company has considerably increased the prestige of this awards set. In 2020 the awards were held virtually, with celebrity Phil Spencer officiating. Most of the sponsors for 2021 are already in place for an event at the Museum of London on 20 October, with Phil Spencer again presiding. A gala dinner for the awards is a likelihood for 2022. Additionally, some marketing campaign execution will be required to support TravMedia’s events, notably IMM and the TravMedia Awards. In 2020, IMM (https://travmedia.com/immuk/) played host to 160 exhibitor travel brands and almost 300 journalists at its UK home, the QEII Centre, Westminster. The two-day event ended with a gala ceremony to announce the winners of the first-ever TravMedia Awards (https://www.travmediaawards.com/), recognising the greatest talents in travel journalism, PR and influence. For 2021, IMM transitioned into the online space, with TravMedia UK running a three-day IMM Virtual 2021 from 17-19 May, attracting over 250 delegates. Next March 14-15, IMM returns as a physical event at the QEII Centre, while the TravMedia Awards is scheduled for this November as a gala ceremony at a London venue (details TBA). Our Sites’ Features:· Journalist Alerts – requests from journalists to PRs for information required for articles· Press release distribution via our high-impact News Alert emails· Press centres, featuring press releases, corporate profiles, photo libraries· Network, enabling PR professionals to create their own network within each site, and so connect and communicating with their closest journalists and influencers· Stories – The latest articles from key journalists· Updates – Posts from users to stimulate media engagement Marketing Manager: The Responsibilities:· Help creating marketing campaigns for the four sites, from email marketing to social media campaigns, above-the-line to PR· Promotion of new features to customers, to maximise site use and ensure customer retention· Assistance with Property Press Awards event coordination and logistics· Overseeing campaigns issued through our CMS, Mailchimp and other SaaS platforms· Marketing to maximise use of new features by customers and to ensure customer retention· Responsibility for ensuring best practice in overseeing data management· Lead generation activities· Providing Site Demos· Attendance at industry events and collaborations with other industry events Candidate profile:· Energy and passion· People skills, team player· Good strategist, logical thinker· Immaculate attention to detail· The ability to take designs to completion and to create and edit stimulating copy· Perfect written and verbal communication skills· A minimum of two years’ experience as a Marketing Manager (preferred)· Experience of one of our sectors (helpful) Location: News4Media’s offices at The Ministry, 79-81 Borough Rd, London SE1 1DN.
