About the role PURPOSE OF THE ROLE In our Go Beyond network strategy 2025 our vision is to become ‘the most valued network in the profession’. This role plays an important part in that Strategy by: 1/ Protecting the global Go Beyond brand within social media channels by ensuring adoption and implementation of agreed brand standards, guidelines, templates and best practice 2/ Protecting the social media presence and personal online brand of our leaders, Partners and other employees through curated content feeds both within GTIL and across the network 3/ Growing the reach of the Grant Thornton brand through the personal networks of our people globally 4/ Building social media presence and maturity within member firms and ultimately creating opportunities for social selling and lead generation at an individual Partner level. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage GTIL social media corporate accounts: · Lead and advise on social media content planning and publishing, working with internal teams to ensure consistency in publishing approaches and frequency · Advise and collaborate with global service line structures and individuals as well as internal teams on social media content creation best practices, ensuring posts are aligned with brand voice and identity guidelines across channels and helping drive user engagement and top of funnel activity. · Align the social media strategy with network strategy and key target audiences · Support activation of global content strategies to support winning international business by creating or curating assets (thumbnails, short animations, videos) to enhance social media posts · Work closely with content and campaign leads to create, schedule and publish content on Grant Thornton International Ltd corporate accounts · Monitor accounts and respond to comments, mentions and queries across social channels · Work with the Communications team to develop and implement crisis management protocols for social media Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of social channel performance: · Identify topics and content trends across social channels that support and enhance the Grant Thornton network strategy and brand strategies · Track social media performance and generate reports with actionable insights for review by leadership teams in GTIL · Work with service lines and content teams to analyse social media campaign performance to identify areas for improvement · Develop competitor benchmark reports · Identify new channels, tactics and opportunities to grow the Grant Thornton social media presence Lead the global Employee Advocacy programme: · Own and manage the employee advocacy strategy to increase reach and influence of both GTIL and member firm leaders and employees’ social media presence and brand, growing the reach of the Grant Thornton brand through the personal networks of our people globally · Scale adoption of employee advocacy programmes across the global network, creating high performing programmes in collaboration with member firm teams · Support member firms to demonstrate ROI on the programme through growth of social footprint and EMV metrics as well as uncovering the business impact and growth opportunities created · Manage EAP vendors to ensure we are providing high performing platforms with best-in-class practices Support member firm social media activity and strategy: · Provide guidance, best practice and education to the Grant Thornton network firms on social media strategy and implementation · Work with member firms and global brand teams to maintain evolving, optimised and brand compliant templates · Work with member firms to create a global best-in-class brand across social media channels PERSON SPECIFICATION · Creative and analytical thinker · Preference for degree and / or marketing qualifications · Multi-lingual skills desirable Experience – essential · Proven experience over 4-5 years of social media management preferably in a financial, business to business or professional services environment · Experience of leading or working on with employee advocacy programmes [EAP] · Experience of working with senior leaders to shape their social profiles, strategy and activity · Sound understanding of the specificities of major social media platforms including Twitter and LinkedIn and ability to tailor content for each channel · Experience working with social media management platforms such as Hootsuite · Analytical skills with the ability to understand performance reports and draw insight and recommendations from them · Self-starter with the ability and confidence to develop and implement their own projects and workload · Completely fluent verbal and written business English skills in writing, editing and communication · Good organisation and time management skills and an ability to manage multiple projects · Strong relationship skills and cultural awareness, the ability to work well with people from different disciplines and cultures. · Ability to be agile, respond positively to change and contribute with an innovative and global mindset · Highly flexibl
