Aspiring Probation Officer North West London- Learning Support Assistant Locations: North London – North West London Boroughs: Harrow Salary: £70.00 – £80.00 per day This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience and work in a variety of supportive and vibrant schools as a Learning Support Assistant. These roles are suited for any aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, probation or Youth Justice Officers Starting in July and September, we are seeking graduates that would like to work with young pupils as a Learning support assistant, help them engage further in their learning and support them to succeed. This role will challenge you, sometimes you will encounter Anti – Social contexts that will test your ability to de-escalate and carefully navigate delicate scenarios. The way you present yourself, and the language you use will be incredibly important. This is a very good opportunity for any aspiring Clinical, Educational Psychologists, youth justice officers and probations officers. The role of a Learning Support Assistant will provide you with the practical experience of working with vulnerable pupils, some of which have been through severe trauma, special educational needs and physical disability, turning what you have studied in theory and putting it into practice. Your primary focus will be on the holistic, therapeutic and restorative. With a tailored curriculum for each student of mixed ability. Restorative Practice, pragmatism and positive reinforcement will be key skills in this Learning Support Assistant role. Key aspects of this role will be in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns. You will be working with the students to help them find their role in society, giving children a sense of acceptance and reward.
