SUPPORT WORKER CRANBROOK, KENT IDEALLY YOU WILL BE A CAR DRIVER WITH A CAR TO BE ABLE TO GET TO THE SERVICE. Our client has a beautiful Learning Disabilities Residential Service, it is a Victorian House over 3 floors supporting up to 19 clients in Cranbrook, Kent and has been established for over 25 years. They recently became part of the Queen Elizabeth Foundation for Disabled People. Full time Permanent 37-hour contract + overtime available + £1 extra per hour weekend enhancement. (Day shifts for Support Workers run from 8.00am to 3.15pm and 2.45pm to 10.00pm, mixture of earlies, lates and alternate weekends). Part time will also be considered. If you are happy to do sleep in’s these are paid at £74 but are not compulsory. We are currently recruiting for our client with Learning Disabilities Support. The candidates we require will need to have a passion for helping others and actively want to help our clients service users to live fulfilling, healthy and happy lives. This could suit somebody interested to become a support worker i.e. somebody with personal experience but not professional. If you are caring and can explain in an interview why you want to join the industry this could be for you. Every day is different you could be day to day support including medicine, community help like shopping, activities like cinema or working alongside them with occupation needs and support. Other areas can involve cooking, assisting living and dealing with mild challenging behaviour and possibly nonverbal communication. There will be some personal care with some clients and some just prompting. You will need to be available on Zoom or Teams for interview. Decisions will be provided the following morning.
