Title: Laboratory ManagerLocation: CambridgePermanent position offering a highly competitive salary and benefits. Search Scientific are currently working with a leading genomics organisation based in the Cambridgeshire area, who are looking to hire a Laboratory Manager. You'll be given the opportunity to work in a seriously well equipped laboratory, acting as both Laboratory manager and project manager. You, the Laboratory Manager, will be responsible for a sizeable team off approximately 30 – 35 people. Working with your team to ensure they are fully capable to perform the relevant tasks, coaching them to ensure that they are the best, they can be. You will also act as a project manager, managing projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the equipment used within the laboratory, performing maintenance of instruments and equipment. Key requirements; • Be educated to BSc or equivalent within a scientific subject. • Industrial experience working with genetics techniques, including but not limited to Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS). • Able to speak and understand Mandarin is an essential skill.
