Reporting to the Europe Product Manager, this exciting new role will work closely with them to ensure the effective launch of Callaway Soft Goods, Custom Fit Programmes and provide key support across various Hard Goods areas. Golf Bags + Accessories • Manage the Europe Soft Goods line plan, with the support/direction of Europe Product Manager. • Develop strong communication channels with all key departments including US Soft Goods development team and Europe marketing/sales/planning teams. • Become established as the go-to expert for Europe Soft Goods with the personal skills to host/present all required meetings to key stakeholders e.g. RSM group, sales meetings, strategy meetings. • Have the knowledge + technical competence to work closely with the US Soft Goods team to ensure design of bags + accessories meets the needs of Europe market. • Work closely with Europe Marketing Department to ensure accurate development of all sales/marketing materials e.g. product binder, website, etc. • Ensure all samples are ordered and shipped to needs of Europe business by closely working with US & Europe planning teams plus sales regions when necessary. • Support Europe Supply Planning team with an agreed line plan and forecasting plan. • Support Europe Business Planning team as key advisor for all costs/pricing using knowledge of competitive marketplace. Custom Fit • Manage the OptiFit Programme for Europe on an annual basis working closely with all regional sales leads, under the support/direction of Europe Product Manager . • Develop strong communication channels with all key departments including US custom fit/programme teams, Europe sales & fitting leads, Swindon DC management team, Europe planning team. • Manage the Europe fleet of Trackman + iPads to ensure ongoing support for Europe fitting teams, maintain live inventory tracker and review quarterly with Europe Product Manager for direction. • Order & maintain suite of event materials to support Europe fitting events through annual review process with regional fitting leads, within budget and on time. • Manage the Europe custom offering and assets, under the support/direction of Europe Product Manager. Hard Goods • Support Europe Product Manager with ordering of all HG & golf ball samples to needs of Europe business. • Support Europe Product Manager by maintaining a Europe master sample tracker for live reference of all supply and outgoing orders to sales & marketing functions. • Ongoing housekeeping to ensure maintenance of all DC stock and virtual stock accounts. • Any ad hoc duties and projects as required. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: • Required: • A competent golfer with the ability to converse knowledgably in all aspects of golf and golf products. • An individual who exudes enthusiasm for golf and golf products. • In-depth knowledge of golf soft goods (Callaway and competitors). • An open attitude with the drive to learn/adapt harnessing constructive feedback. • Hands on, self-starter, able to work in a small team with a flexible approach. • Able to take initiative and work independently to complete tasks, and likewise work within a team in high-pressure situations under time deadlines. • Well-developed and persuasive written and verbal communication skills. • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP. • Skilled in organising resources and establishing priorities with an analytical approach and exacting detail. • Ability to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures. • Proven, confident presenter to audience of all sizes. • A natural fit for the Callaway culture. • The ability to communicate at all levels, from the Managing Director down. • A true challenging spirit that questions decisions, and at all times considers the impact of decisions on volume, profit, retailers and consumers. • Preferred: • Understanding of Callaway’s global product launch & team structure. • A technical background with a passion and understanding of the product development process for Callaway Golf. EDUCATION: • Required: At least 3 years’ experience within the golf industry in a commercial, planning or technical role • Preferred: Technical degree (or relevant degree to this role) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Regularly required to sit and view a computer and use hands to perform typing. Regular handling and carrying of product up to 15kg a necessity. Some European travel.
