Position Overview To assist the Declarations Supervisor/ Manager with the development, implementation and maintenance of the company's Declarations framework. To be responsible for the tracking and loading of all declarations declared to the office. To support the flow of data within the business providing a competent and efficient service to customers whilst ensuring that transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner. To maintain agreed service levels within the Declarations Department and also adhere to all Regulatory Requirements Essential Job Functions: • To accurately load all declarations declared to the office • Proactively manage any queries that arise from the loading of data • To ensure all payments leaving the business are accurate • Proactively manage the funds or data produced by the loading of a declaration • To reconcile and audit the declarations processed • To assist with maintenance of procedure manuals • To correspond with brokers/underwriters/third parties as necessary using standard documentation wherever possible • To ensure that work is completed within the departmental service standards • Support the Declarations Supervisor with the completion of a wide range of tasks • To provide assistance to colleagues and any other department in the group as required • Have an awareness of the FCA rules and guidelines in relation to General Insurance, as well as other regulatory/legislative subject matters such as data protection • Other duties may be assigned in order to meet the on-going needs of the organisation Experience Required: • Insurance or financial services background • Intermediate knowledge of MS office, Word and Excel Experience • Sound knowledge and understanding of FCA regulations • Good attention to detail together with the ability to consider the bigger picture • Good communication skills • Able to work as an individual or as part of a team • Able to meet tight deadlines and deliver a high degree of accuracy • Adapts to new processes quickly and easily, responding positively to new business requirements
