Work less hours than a standard school day! • School centred teacher training available beyond year as a Humanities Graduate Tutor • Job to start in coming academic year September 2021 – June/July 2022 • Humanities Graduate, Covid Catch-Up Humanities Tutor As a capable Humanities Graduate, you will support talented and well-behaved students studying GCSE and A-Level Humanities. You’ll work under the direction of an award-winning Humanities department led by an inspirational School Senior Leader. You will collaborate with the Humanities Teachers to ensure your delivering tailored and specific tutoring sessions to each pupil. This is a full-time Humanities Graduate position available for the duration of the coming academic year. Planned hours will be 11.30am start and 5pm finish, some flexibility is available if this can’t be achieved every day. The role is classed as a ‘full-time’ role, the pay is the same as a full day but with fewer hours, making the hourly rate considerably higher than other similar roles in other schools. Your tutor session starts late morning and continue for few hours, post school finishing, to ensure that sessions don’t clash with other teaching the pupils receive. The Humanities Graduate COVID Catch-up Tutor will be assigned a group of pupils and deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring lessons to these students. This is a full-time Humanities Graduate position; you will be working in this role until at least the GCSE and A-Level exams at the end of academic year in 2022. Opportunities for progression are plentiful, the school can offer salaried teacher training to start from September 2022 or you can remain working as a Humanities Tutor into the following academic year.
