A well-respected and established company based in St Albans are looking for a HSQE Auditor to join their friendly and close knit team. The main purpose of the role is to audit the HSQE elements of their allocated construction sites, maintenance teams, completed works, project and contract management teams. Key responsibilities: • Checking compliance in accordance with company procedures • Preparing and submitting audit reports • Preparing and updating audit programme • Carrying out COSHH assessments • Collating and Updating COSHH & Equipment registers • Updating head office records • Providing toolbox talks and maintaining register • Preparation of WPP, method statements, tasks briefings and other safety documents • Preparation of site safety files • Liaison with clients over health and safety matters • Investigating accidents, incidents, close calls and near misses and preparing reports • Carrying out assessments of work activities and advising on safe systems of work • Assisting with external audits by accreditation bodies and clients What the client are looking for: • Familiarity with operational railway environment and applicable procedures and standard • Good computer skills and competent with all Microsoft packages • Competent report write • Good oral and written communication skills • Good man management skills in order to encourage positive HSQE culture at all levels of organisation including subcontractors • Assertive but approachable individual who will ensure that all requirements are understood • Ability to work with an overview of all factors and objectives in order to ensure team goals are met • Ability to work in conjunction with all other members of the service delivery team Qualifications: • Trade related qualification preferably in mechanical services • NEBOSH Construction Certificate • Personal Track Safety What’s in it for you? • Salary up to £35k depending on experience • iPhone, iPad and company vehicle • Free parking • Social outings!
