Having recently been acquired by Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a commercially focussed hospital director with a proven track record of working in similar environments. As the Hospital Director, you will be expected provide strategic direction in addition to outstanding leadership to an engaged team. Naturally, you will be expected to maximise the operational and financial performance of the hospital whilst maintaining the highest levels of care. You will be expected to develop an already established private patient market and have a hands-on approach to the day to day running of the hospital. Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that all interested candidates have experience in the healthcare market, the NHS or independent sector. Essential Experience • 5 years’ experience or equivalent, of senior operational management in a complex healthcare environment • Degree or equivalent work-based experience • Management Qualification • 7 years’ experience of managing within an acute medical and surgical hospital environment – independent sector or NHS • A Proven track record of building and maintaining key relationships with consultants and external stakeholders. • Budget management & financial accountability • Strategic & policy development and implementation • Strong analytical & problem solving skills. • Clear oral and written communication to public, colleagues, and external agencies • Confidence working under significant personal pressure including in emotionally distressing and demanding situations. • Ability to manage services involving significant, complex and confidential information. • Accountability – Takes responsibility for own actions and promotes good team working. • Delivery of NHS and private healthcare Compass Associates are acting as a Recruitment Consultancy in relation to this vacancy.
