HEAD OF COMMERCIAL SERVICES – Salary up to £69,450 Blackburn with Darwen Council is an ambitious forward thinking organisation, we have built an enviable reputation for service excellence, innovation and sound resource management. We are looking for an entrepreneurial senior manager with significant experience in commercial management and service delivery. You will directly lead and manage a range of commercial services including leisure centres, business centres, indoor markets, bus station and parking services. You will also provide advice, guidance and support for colleagues managing services across the PLACE Directorate to help maximise income growth for the Council. This is an exciting role with a huge amount of potential and scope. You will draw together a strong team, develop our new commercial strategy and help us realise further opportunities to drive commercial income. We are looking for someone who is energetic, entrepreneurial and collaborative and brings the commercial know how to grow and diversify our income streams. The successful candidate will already be an experienced commercial operator, with a track record of driving and growing income streams. You will be an advocate of innovation, service excellence and efficiency and will need to be focused, determined, resilient and committed to continually improving Council services and income growth.
