Governance and Committees Administrator £27,500 pa plus excellent benefits London WC1 and home-based 35 hours per week The Governance and Committees Administrator is a crucial role within the College in which you will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the College’s governance and committee structures. As Governance and Committees Administrator, you will offer a proactive support service to the Council and other senior College Committees, whilst also assisting with the team’s work on the ACCEA process. Reporting to the Governance and Committees Manager, you will also work closely with the Head of Governance and Contracts in supporting with the administration of the College’s contracts work, by establishing and maintaining a comprehensive digital repository of all current major contracts. You will also be responsible for maintaining the Governance and Contracts presence on the website and intranet, and on social media as needed. Educated to a good standard, you should have substantial administrative, interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to present information in a fluent and persuasive manner to people at a range of levels. With outstanding organisational skills, you should have proven experience of working with and influencing a wide range of people at all levels, as well as a variety of teams across an organisation. You should also have the ability to act to minimise errors and inaccuracies, maintaining high standards of accuracy and correctness in dealing with information and data. Formal project management training and evidence of continuing professional development would be desirable. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. The RCPCH has more than 20,000 members and fellows and employs around 170 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The RCPCH wants to represent all the communities we serve. Appointment will be made solely on merit. Due to COVID-19 restrictions all staff are currently working remotely. We will be returning to the office on 20 September 2021 where you will work in the office for a minimum of 60% of the week and the remainder from home.
