German Speaking Credit Control Relationship Technician – £40,000

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a global organisation based in Bishopsgate, London. We are recruiting for a German Speaking Credit Control Relationship Technician.


You will be responsible for UK and ROW Credit Control including daily credit control technical processing, monthly bank reconciliations and active management of aged debts, unallocated cash and intentional and external queries.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Matching ledger entries to cash receipts (through online bank account review) to ensure correct amounts received and by settlement due date and matching them to cash receipts

* Preparation of cash payment refunds for Finance sign-off

* Raising claim payments to clients’ bank account

* Direct Debit processing and management (BACS and SEPA) for the UK and Europe

* Supporting in the preparation of LPANs which accompany the bordereaux

* Monthly bank reconciliations highlighting and recording transaction movements, and raising with Finance to ensure the process is consistent

* Preparation, checking and issuance of Paid Premium Bordereaux on a monthly/quarterly basis for onward transaction processing

* Preparation and issuance of broker statements and monthly Broker Brokerage Remittances

* Management, tracking and oversight of cancellation process

* Collation and issuance to Finance on the monthly status of all aged debt balances by Broker

* Effectively communicate and report progress and escalate issues as required to senior management

* Documenting and periodically reviewing internal credit control processes and procedures

* Active management of aged debts, unallocated cash and internal and external queries

* Ensuring that appropriate standards are established and complied with

* Recording policy, premium, claims & tax information

* Using multiple systems, ensuring entry data is consistent at each point

Skills and experience

* Ability to speak German at a business level

* Strong relationship building skills

* General accounting knowledge preferred

* Meticulous, analytical, strong attention to detail.

* Able to handle large amounts of data whilst maintaining accuracy and quality

* Ability to manage a team

* Strong communicator, able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders

* Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS Office service suite

Package and benefits

Monday – Friday 35 hours, flexible between 8 am – 6 pm
