Financial Accountant – West Cumbria – Salary up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience Your new companyAn excellent newly created opportunity presents itself with an innovative and well-known manufacturing organisation in West Cumbria. The business is a globally recognised market leading name recognised for it's quality. We are recruiting a Financial Accountant to join their established finance team on a permanent basis. After going through significant investment in the local site, it's an exciting time to join.Your new roleReporting to the Finance Director, this role has been created to ensure preparation of monthly management and statutory financial reporting of the business is timely, accurate and compliant to the UK standards. Typical duties will include: • Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts within the reporting deadline • Preparation of year end and statutory accounts package for audit on a timely and consistent basis in line with legislation • To maintain knowledge of changes and upcoming legislation (Corporation Tax, VAT, etc.), ensuring the business remains compliant and up to date • Production of P11d reports, personal incidental expenses (PIEs) reports, etc • To Maintain and update the Capital register, reconciling and resolving and queries • Preparation of sales forecast report, liaising with Sales Director, General Manager • To produce control account reconciliations on a monthly basis as necessary • Ensure debtors and creditors are balanced monthly to the general ledger • To be the custodian of the business insurance policies, renewals and procedures What you'll need to succeed • Qualified Accountant or working towards (depending on experience) • Demonstrable experience in finance and strong attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels internal and external • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with the ability to problem solve • Advanced understanding of spreadsheets and Excel and data bases What you'll get in returnSalary dependent on experience, up to £45,000 dependent on experienceLife assurance x 4Company pension schemeBUPA Healthcare at P11d value 37 hours per week Monday to Friday Staff Product Purchase rates Subsidised canteenWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
