Finance Manager – Global Media Brand – Permanent Altum Consulting are pleased to be supporting a global media brand in their search for a Finance Manager. The role sits within one of the fastest growing divisions of the business and offers a broad remit, assisting the Commercial Finance Manager by taking ownership of the financial reporting. Core areas of responsibility will be reviewing the month end management accounts and partnering with the Commercial Finance Manager to provide commercial support. The role will manage the day to day management responsibility for the Junior Management accountant and the Finance Assistant, who will work with you to support your tasks. Key Responsibilities, • Prepare and review the monthly management accounts in accordance with US GAAP including revenue, journals, accruals and prepayments. • Review month end variance analysis for revenue and P&L. • Review and reconciliation of intercompany recharges. • Maintain contract inventory. • Maintain and develop monitoring controls to minimise the risk of fraud to the company and to meet all SOX reporting requirements. • Review of general ledger coding of invoices and POs in SAP for all office costs incurred. • Reviewing personal and company credit card expenses. • Work with stakeholders to ensure all timesheets are kept up to date and promote best practice across the agencies. • Work with biller to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of fees. • Responding to frequent queries from senior management, controllers, non-finance employees and auditors • Assist with the preparation of Board Packs and other presentations to senior stakeholders • Partner with the Commercial Finance Manager in the preparation and timely reporting to group, The annual budgets and subsequent quarterly reforecasts • Quarterly flash reporting • Quarterly client profitability analysis Required Experience, • Ideally ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified • Excellent excel knowledge – very familiar and comfortable with pivot tables and standard formulas such as VLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, IF, AND, OR statements etc • Systems : SAP / Hyperion/ DDS knowledge would be advantageous but not essential • Knowledge of US GAAP would be advantageous but not essential • Prior experience of preparing end to end management accounts and transaction processing. • Capable of working within a dynamic environment in which the work flow is often unpredictable and requires a pragmatic approach, particularly during key busy periods (e.g. quarter end, year end and planning periods)
