Your new company My client is a government body based in Central London. They are looking for a Finance Director on a permanent basis. This role can be worked 100% remote but you will need to attend board meetings on a quarterly basis in Central London. Your new role You will ensure timely financial reporting to the organisations key relationships, and in accordance with HM Treasury requirements. You will provide advice, analysis, and insights to support the development and delivery of plans and strategies to secure the organisations short-to-medium term financial stability and its long-term sustainability. This includes producing the financial information and formal submission for the next Spending Review. You will oversee the preparation of the annual budget in consultation with the CEO, the Executive Management Team, and Board, and help the Director of Operations to develop annual business plans and KPIs. You will maintain effective guidelines for annual budget and regular forecast routines, including financial calendar and best practice reporting timescales. You will support the organisations programme teams, through FBPs, to maintain financial records for each project to facilitate management accounting and other reporting, and where possible across mutual the organisations systems. You will line manage the Head of Finance and Finance Manager, ensuring high performance through effective coaching and development. What do I need? You must be a (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) qualified accountant. Ideally you will have had leadership of finance operation at Director level. You will set the strategic direction for finance working with the CEO to help manage the overall business and work across departments/teams to help them plan and manage their budgets, so experience in this area is essential. What do I get in return? You will receive a salary of up to 69000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package working for a well-established government body.
