Facilities Technician – GMP – Pharmaceutical company

My client are a leading pharmaceutical researcher and manufacturer based int he Reading area. They're currently looking for a facilities technician to join their team in a newly created role to solely focus on the upkeep and accreditation of the site. Your role will be varied and some of the duties are listed below, although not an extensive list; • Assist with scheduling and managing planned maintenance work, including ensuring that PPM tracking systems are maintained. • Ensure that all contractors working in the building are supervised and are working in accordance with the company’s H&S procedures. • Support the monitoring of critical alarms & those generated by the environmental monitoring system, and where necessary react, investigate and rectify the fault. Where required, provide out of hours cover in the event of excursions to critical equipment. • Assist facilities management in the preparation of reports relating to deviations, change controls, protocols & temperature mapping as well as monthly reports. • Assist with the organisation of maintenance contracts for core equipment i.e. Air handling units, humidifiers, compressors, generators, controlled storage areas and fridges & freezers. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with an understanding of GMP that wants to grow in a role that could lead to running a facility. Previous facilities experience would be ideal and being proficient with Microsoft packages is also a prerequisite.
