Together with Weber Shandwick's healthcare division, it is the number 2 healthcare communications agency in the UK (by revenue).dna Communications’ Executive Scientific Director (ESD) is responsible for setting the overall scientific strategy for dna in London and will sit on dna’s Senior Leadership Team. The ESD will be responsible for building, leading, mentoring, and training dna’s talented team of scientific content developers, and will support the Client Experience Teams on the development of scientific strategy. They possess a strong science or medical background, with an advanced degree (e.g., MSc or PhD) and significant experience in medical writing and the provision of scientifically related strategic counsel – preferably all agency Team experience. They have strong scientific and therapy area background and expertise, use a client-centric approach and have a strong desire and passion to make a big difference both internally and externally. The ESD will also be responsible for partnering closely with the Executive Vice President, Scientific Communications at dna New York, to continue building dna’s reputation as a leader in scientific consultancy.Qualifications/Experience·Around 10+ years’ experience in agency, ideally with a strong science backgroundExperienced in strategic planning plus medical writing (at senior level) for a range of materials from slide decks, newsletters, press releases, website content to manuscripts.Experience with congresses and symposiums and related activities including the writing of both pre-and post-meeting materials.Experience in developing excellent client relationships with clientsCommercial, financial and project managementAdherence to internal and client protocols/systems, and fully up-to-date with ABPI compliance and guidelines.Note from Talent TeamWe appreciate the time taken to apply for the role and your recent interest in Weber Shandwick.
