Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week) Location: West London Zone (WLZ) Head Office, Freston Road, London W10 – subject to government guidance, from September 2021 WLZ will operate a hybrid working model whereby the Development Team will work from the office 3 days per week and home 2 days per week Anticipated start date: 6th September 2021 West London Zone is an early intervention charity. We help children and young people build the relationships and skills they need to get on track Socially, Emotionally and Academically, believing that by targeting these key areas of development we can empower children to fulfil their potential. We call this “creating SEA change”. With a new 5-year organisational strategy in place and a great deal of growth planned in our zone, the Trusts & Foundations officer will be supporting West London Zone in our ambition to raise over £6 million in the next few years. They will be part of the fundraising team and will be responsible for raising money from Trusts & Foundations, developing a plan for engaging small and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations and supporting with relationship management. West London Zone has a very strong portfolio of donors and we want to build a Trusts & Foundations team who are able to maintain our donor base, as well as explore new opportunities. We are looking for someone with strong written and interpersonal skills and the ability to work at pace. Responsibilities include: – • To work closely with line manager to manage our existing pipeline • To be responsible for writing high-quality applications for small and medium-grant makers • To write bespoke external reports for funders, collaborating across the organisation as required • Build relationships with key individuals representing trusts and foundations • Lead on prospect research, identifying new potential Trusts and Foundations and exploring any existing links • Manage and develop the Salesforce Database system and reporting, utilise (and help develop) internal systems and processes to track deadlines, KPIs, and get the most out of our CRM. • Other tasks as required by line manager (Trusts & Foundations Manager) and Head of Philanthropy.
