We build thousands of homes every year, with a focus on creating sustainable and mixed communities. Last year we completed 2,126 new homes, of which 90% were for affordable tenures. We are looking for a new Communications Manager for Development & Sustainability, who will report into the Director of Communications. The Communications Manager will take the lead in driving media coverage to strengthen the reputation of Clarion as a high quality provider of new affordable homes and a sector leader in sustainability. You will be the main point of contact between the Corporate Affairs and Development functions, building relationships, leading on press releases and corporate profiling, as well as promoting our work on decarbonisation and annual ESG reporting. The successful candidate will also support our Fire Safety team with media enquiries, as the whole sector responds to the updated regulatory regime and the need for fire remedial works on some of our buildings. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in a corporate communications and ideally with direct experience of the housing or property sector. We'd like all applicants to have a good knowledge of the planning process, how the housing market operates and an understanding of the media and political context of development, planning and regeneration. If you are a communications specialist with excellent organisational skills and an in-depth knowledge of the current media landscape, we very much look forward to hearing from you.
