Next Distribution are looking for a Communications & Design Assistant to join them. You will be a creative self-starter, working with in-house content writers and other designers to create and develop digital and printed material consistent with the Company's brand guidelines. Responsible for the creation of engaging content and artwork to be used across at internal social media, e-newsletters, team talks and range of in-house print material across all of Next Distribution's sites, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop content required for team events, recruitment, Occupational Health, employee engagement and internal campaigns. You will also be responsible for working with the internal reprographics team and external suppliers to manage the production of print material including posters, leaflets, signage and banners. With over 9000 employees at Next Distribution, a key part of the role is ensuring that internal communications are sent out effectively and efficiently by managing spreadsheets and databases for group emails and text messages to all relevant audiences. Essential Skills To be successful in the role of Communications & Design Assistant at Next, you will be ideally educated to degree level in Graphic Design, Communications, PR or similar and must have experience of producing work using Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop – either from a work placement or similar role. You will be able to showcase your portfolio of printed and digital work and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Desirable Skills You will be highly PC literate and along with Adobe Suite, be highly competent in the use of Microsoft and Google Suite. Experience using MailChimp, IBM Acoustic or similar would be an advantage. The role is varied and at times requires the team to work to tight deadlines, across different sites and extended hours. You will be highly flexible and organised; able to work on your own initiative with a 'can-do' attitude and approach. All candidates must be able to drive.
