About The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Assistant to join our team in Runcorn, Cheshire. The role of Commercial Finance Assistant is a crucial entry level, strongly analytical role which is part of the wider finance team and offers close involvement with internal and external stakeholders providing commercial and analytical support for a key project and to support the wider Commercial Finance Team on budget and forecast, some month end reporting and PowerPoint presentations.
Commercial Finance Assistant Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate information in relation to acquisitions, mergers and divestitures within the portfolio identifying trends and market insights
* Create business cases for acquisitions, mergers and divestitures modelling potential scenarios and financial return
* Liaise with business teams to gather information relevant to modelling and presentation decks which would ultimately go to board and Germany for approval
* Presenting back to the business their understanding, interpretation and recommendations based around the information
* Carry out post investment review of branch acquisitions and mergers
* Assist with budget and forecasting process
* Assist with monthly commercial performance reporting and review
* Perform any other duties, as required
Who we want:
Our ideal candidate will have excellent excel skills as the role requires knowledge of pivot tables, formula to advanced level. Ideally you will be a Business / Analytical / Accountancy graduate. Part qualified accountancy candidates are also welcome to apply.
We are seeking a candidate with an analytical approach and a thorough understanding facts and data required for decision making purposes with strong mathematical skill and communication skills
