Meraki Talent are delighted to be engaged on the role of Commercial Finance Analyst for a business based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The role is paying a salary of £30,000 – £35,000 per annum with study support. The Company This business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, even under the cloud of COVID19. This success has been achieved through organic growth, diversification and significant acquisitions. Furthermore, the business has made several highly impressive hires into its leadership team in the last 12 months across a variety of different divisions that demonstrates its commitment and investment into further growth & expansion. The Role/Person The role of Commercial Finance Analyst will report into the Head of Commercial Finance and will partner with various key stakeholders within the business (including the Managing Director). Moreover, this person will be heavily involved in the commercial strategy of the business and will play a part in key decisions being made at board level. To perform successfully in this role, this person must have advanced MS Excel (SQL, MACROS etc.) and Power BI capabilities; as well as a strong background in analysing financial data and decision making off the back of this. On Offer The role of Commercial Finance Analyst is offering a salary of £30,000 – £35,000 per annum as well as study support (where relevant). The office is based on the outskirts of Edinburgh with parking available on site. This role will based from home for the foreseeable future (due to Covid-19) but will be returning to the office – with a hybrid working policy (TBC). You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties: • Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs • Business partnering with Departmental Managers & Heads to aide strategic planning, direction and decision making. • Assisting with business-critical projects including potential new markets, further diversification, and new geographies • Driving and maximising performance & profitability through managing price, margins, costs, and cash • Flash reporting for KPI’s, sales and contracts • Budget setting & monitoring including ability to explain & challenge variances. • Short, medium, and long-term forecasting • Cashflow analysis • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls • Ad hoc duties To be considered for this role you must: • Have experience of working in a similar role involving commercial/financial analysis • Have business partnering experience e.g., with non-financial stakeholder regarding management information • Have experience of working with MS Power BI analytics • Have excellent MS Excel skills • Be working towards an accounting qualification (advantageous) If you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch with Jack Ramage for a private and confidential discussion.
