We are looking for a passionate and confident individual to represent Marie Curie as a private site charity fundraiser. Role: Private Site Fundraiser Hours: Monday to Friday, 20-30 hours per week Pay: £9.50-£10.50 per hour One of the most recognisable charities in the UK, Marie Curie provide care and support for people living with a terminal illness in the UK and their families. Each they, they care for more than 40,000 terminally ill people in the UK. Their nine hospices are at the heart of communities around the UK, whilst Marie Curie nurses provide care in the home at the time it is needed the most. In order to carry out the extraordinary work that they do, Marie Curie relies on financial support from members and donors – and that's where you come in! The Role: Working in locations such as supermarkets, garden centres and markets you will be engaging in conversations with members of the public who are out and about. You will be informing them about the incredible work that Marie Curie does, and inspiring people to become a long term supporter through an ongoing donation. This is a part time role working 20-30 hours per week across Monday to Friday (no weekends!) – making this a fantastic opportunity for those looking for work/life balance! We’re specifically looking for people who can drive (all expenses will be paid at 25p per mile) as you’ll be working in a variety of locations. No two days are the same in this role! • Guaranteed hourly rate of £9.50-£10.50 per hour • Weekly pay • Mileage paid at 25p per mile • Full training – no experience necessary! The Ideal Candidate: You don’t need to have any previous fundraising experience to work as a private site charity fundraiser for Marie Curie! Instead, we’re looking for transferable skills and a positive, upbeat attitude. If you've worked in face to face sales before in any capacity we're confident we can help you transfer your skills to this role. We're looking for passionate individuals who are going to be confident, charismatic go-getters who thrive in a people facing role.
