Role responsibilities

You will be responsible for finding new merchant leads, either restaurants, then converting those leads. We are always looking for more partners to join the movement towards sustainable takeaway, including our latest efforts to get reusable takeaway containers built into the core of our system.

Sales will be domestic (within the UK) and the scope is defined by the markets Ecoeats is expanding on.

The main responsibilities are

  • Generate new leads and convert them
  • Build good working relationships
  • Understand the needs of your business customers
  • Research the market and related products
  • Demonstrate advanced product knowledge
  • Present the product or service favourably and in a structured, professional way
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Make sales appointments with clients
  • Collaborate with other employees to make sure that new signings are successfully onboarded
  • Follow up with any clients to make sure that they are satisfied with the product
  • Discover how to market products to new businesses
  • Work with the marketing department to develop new sales strategies
  • Record sales and order information or entering figures into a computer system
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Identify what merchant partners value and feedback to the wider team
  • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues

The ideal candidate will have

  • 3+ years experience OR a relevant degree in business, sales, management or marketing
  • Experience working independently to acquire and convert leads
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for helping merchant partners boost their sales and become more sustainable
