Work as part of the team in evaluating, developing, delivering and maintaining standard and ad hoc reporting from business systems/data warehouse. Maintain, develop and support ICAEW business reporting systems including Data Warehouse, Cognos, JET Reports, Power BI.Assess, analyse, develop, test and deploy standard and ad hoc business reports.Be the ICAEW ‘expert’ for business reporting using business tools such as Cognos, JET Reports, Power BI and other relevant tools.Develop and maintain the data structures to support business reporting needs. Support other users of reporting systems through coaching and training.Work with colleagues in IT system infrastructure to support the delivery of database systems.Stay up to date on system developments and functionality within supported tools. Make recommendations for upgrading and usage. Work with technical architects to shape and define analytical technologies and how they are adopted at ICAEW.Ensuring standard data architecture artefacts are available and that these support effective data maturity management (e.g. data catalogue, business glossary, data lineage, data dictionaries). RequirementsTechnical background with ability to create data pipelines and optimise the performance of data systemsAbility to analyse numeric data and support business in decision makingAbility to work collaboratively and proactively in a fast-paced environment with both a technical and non-technical audienceSkills in working with both local and remote stakeholders; experienced in working in multi-national and across multiple UK locationsStrong business stakeholder skills and the ability to communicate analytical concepts with confidence to a non-technical audienceStrong technical skills applied to data processing, data handling, modelling and reporting/visualisation techniques.Experienced with working with SQL databases and development and maintenance of data warehousesExperienced with business reporting (eg Cognos, JET Reports etc)Experienced with data analytics tools (eg Snowflake, Python, etc)Hands on programming experience with statistical languages (eg R, Python etc)Hands on experience in data visualisation (eg PowerBI or similar)Experience of business change projects (desirable)Experience and understanding of working in the professional services sector (desirable)Experience with system change (preferably Dynamics365)Full understanding of the legal and compliance issues concerning data and its use ICAEW values – for all employees The 3 i’s are the values that drive everyone’s attitude and approach to working at ICAEW.
