Azure BI Technical Architect • Remote – UK • Up to £80,000pa, dependent on experience • Excellent Working Culture and Company Benefits • Fantastic Training/Induction Programme This in an excellent opportunity for an individual who has previously been involved in a data architect role, that is now wanting to continue developing their career. This role will overtime include the mentorship and potential management of junior engineers and will see you working with the latest technologies whilst still undertaking a hybrid Architecture and Engineering role. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS • 3+ years’ demonstrable experience in a technical architect role with the following; o Building Enterprise Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence System o Working with Azure Cloud Platform o Data modelling for Enterprise Data Warehouse ecosystems o Using Azure MPP or related systems (SQL DW/Synapse APS) o Microsoft Reporting tools (Power BI and SSRS) o Microsoft ETL tools with near real-time workloads (SSIS or DTS) • 1+ years’ demonstrable experience in; o Azure Databrick and Azure Data Factory – Transforming pipelines into Data Warehouses in near real-time workloads. Our ideal candidate will… • Have in depth experience working with languages such as Scala, Python, C# and SQL. • Have strong experience using T-SQL for querying data and managing MPP and SMP databases. • Have the ability to write clear, concise technical documentation with due regard for the knowledge and skill levels of the target readers. • Possess an Agile development approach with regard for configuration management, specification/documentation, review, and testing. • Be able to advise senior stakeholders, work comfortably without definition and apply a progressive technical approach. • Be an inquisitive technologist who will naturally encourage others to be alike – You will get to experience working with the latest technology that hasn’t been commercial released. • Be technically strong, with recent hands-on experience. • Have good people skills and the ability to objection handle when required. • Have experience with Azure DevOps continuous integration/deployment pipelines in any technology.
