Providing support to the UK Remarketing Finance Manager.Ensure that accurate financial reports are prepared in a timely manner with a discipline of continuous improvement.Provide management with accurate and relevant analysis of financial data.Main Responsibilities:Ensure monthly accounting areas of responsibility are completed to enable timely and accurate reporting, highlighting areas of concern for the business.Challenge variances against budget and prior periods to ensure clear understanding of the results.Ensure all reporting is compliant with relevant accounting standards.Support driving excellent performance within the management accounts team, sharing knowledge and upskilling team members.Identifying areas for potential improvements and working with the Finance Manager to ensure ‘best in class’ financial processes are achieved.Ad Hoc analysis and support as required.Support the year end audit.Skills and Behaviours: Demonstrable experience of working in a management or financial accounting position, either within practice or industry.Strong attention to detail and the confidence to challenge colleagues in order to obtain answers and where necessary, challenge the status quo.Be inquisitive to understand the business and the impact the management accounts processes have on the business.‘Hands-on’ team member.Excellent communication.Effective planning and time management.Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines.Ability to work independently without constant supervision.Essential Criteria:Part Qualified working towards a recognised qualification – CIMA, ACCA, ACA.Strong PC and IT system skills.High level of Excel experience preferable.Prior use of MS Navision would be useful.
