Applications Engineer with either solid PLC programming skills using structured text or embedded software using C immediately sought for a market leading automation technology provider for a wide variety of UK machinery projects.
Applications Engineer – The Role:
⦁ Development and support of customised PLC control programs for machines and equipment as well as user-oriented HMI solutions
⦁ Formulation of software concepts for various machine types
⦁ Collaboration in project teams
⦁ Independent completion of UK customer projects
⦁ Initial start-up at the client's site
⦁ Service and support of UK based clients in technical areas
Applications Engineer – The Person:
⦁ Experience of machine and equipment automation
⦁ Customer-oriented attitude and excellent communication
⦁ Independent, solution-oriented work methods as well as flexibility and team spirit
⦁ Very good English skills, additional languages are a plus – any German language skills highly advantageous
The Applications Engineer will join an international business as they continue to actively develop their presence in the UK market. The Automation Applications Engineer will be responsible for the development of customised software solutions, working hand in hand with clients providing additional on-site support.
This role will be home based and you will spend c50% of your time travelling around the UK working directly with clients on the development of their automation solutions. The Applications Engineer will be working directly with OEM’s, creating software packages to enable them to automate their machines.
Salary ranges from £40-55k experience depending – we are open to differing levels of applicant. You can choose from a monthly electric car lease or a car allowance of £6k. Pension is 5% matched, any additional hours worked are returned with TOIL along with 25 days holiday + stats.
