Search Consultancy are working with a client based in Leith who are looking for a temporary Accounts Assistant due to additional workload. The role will be office based and will run for at least 6 months.The successful candidate will· Communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues· Have previous experience within a similar role· Work with speed and accuracy with a high level of attention to detail· Able to work to tight deadlines· Be willing to learn and keen to develop their knowledge· Be Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft excel· An understanding of other roles within an accounts team· Team player· Friendly & approachableMain responsibilities· Processing customer invoicing· Processing customer card payments and refunds· Update cashbook daily· Posting all cash received from bank statements, cheques, card machine and Paypal reports· Bank Reconciliations· Sending customer statements monthly/ at request· Reconciliation of Sales Ledger· Referencing and credit check new customer credit applicationsHoursWorking hours are Mon – Fri 9am – 5pmYou will be required to work 37.5 hours per weekExperienceAccounts Assistant- minimum 1 yearExperience of Xero Accounting is advantageous but not essential Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
