Russian airline company UTair Aviation signed on Wednesday an agreement to buy 40 medium-haul B737 jets from Boeing for a list price of $3.2 billions (2.2 billion euros), both firms said.

The airliner will buy the US aviation giant's best-selling 33 B737-800 and seven 737-900 ER planes, which are medium-range, single-aisle jet airliners.
