Russia lifts fire emergency in three regions: Medvedev

President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday he had signed a decree to lift a state of emergency in three of seven Russian regions hit by deadly wildfires, Russian news agencies reported.

"I have signed a decree to make changes to the state of emergency, in accordance with which the regime will remain in...Mordovia, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Ryazan regions," Medvedev was quoted by as saying by Russian news agencies.

He said Russia had lifted the state of emergency in Vladimir, Voronezh and Marii El regions, news agencies reported.
